Maintaining compliance is one of the biggest parts of environmental management. LP Environmental can help on any level you want us to for permitting and/or audits. Some clients ask us to help with updating permits and some ask us to submit reports on a monthly basis or collect water samples.
Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
The SWPPP is a requirement of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), which is the permitting regime of the Clean Water Act. NPDES and the associated state-issued permits for storm water discharges require the permitee to develop and implement a SWPPP.
LP Environmental can assist with the preparation and certification of a facility’s SWPPP. As necessary, we will prepare the Notice of Intent (NOI), conduct a site inspection, prepare site maps, inspection forms, sampling forms, and other document required for the Plan.
Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC)
The SPCC Plan applicability and requirements are outlined in the U.S. EPA’s Oil Prevention Regulation (40 CFR Part 112). The Oil Prevention Regulations require facilities that store bulk quantities of oil to develop a plan to prevent a release to a navigable stream. Bulk oil storage is defined in the Oil Prevention Regulations as more than 1,320 gallons of oil in any number of containers of 55 gallons or greater capacity.
We can assist with the preparation and certification of the SPCC Plan. As necessary, we will conduct a site inspection, prepare site maps, inspection forms, sampling forms, and other document required for the Plan.
Multi-Media Compliance Audits
We conduct multi-media environmental audits for a variety of facilities. These may include RCRA audits, environmental compliance audits, or storm water audits. A full compliance audit is also typical for a large facility, which may include a comprehensive review of all permits, plans, reporting obligations, training, etc. to verify compliance with the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, DOT, Emergency Response Planning, Oil Pollution Act, RCRA, and any other applicable rule or regulation that a facility may be subject to.
LP Environmental helps clients with routine reporting obligations. These may included Landfill Inspections/Sampling, Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs), Monthly Operating Reports (MORs), Form R, Toxic Release Inventory (TRI), and others.
